What's great about this book and I'm sure the rest of her series is the fact it provides an historical overview of what life was like during that era. The story line itself keeps you interested at every stage of the book, I loved it.
Enjoy the ride. Don't be intimidated by the length of the books. It is also sexy, quite humorous, heart-wrenching and addictive. Savor them. It has everything you want in a story.
I'm a LOST fan and this series parallels the use of well-developed characters and mysterious, exciting time travel immediately immersing you in and wanting oh so much more. This first book in the series lays the foundation for a thrilling ride. It is cleverly written, extremely creative, and suspenseful. This book series is my absolute favorite of all times. It includes romance, adventure, time travel, history based on facts, and realistic, lovable characters that feel like your own friends and family.
They read easily.
It plays on every emotion you have. Once started you can't put it down. A great read.
It was on my 'recommended for you list' and I thought I would give it a try. Looking forward to reading the next book in the series. Awesome book. I was not disappointed.
This book defies classification, spans every genre imaginable. Outlander (Cross Stitch) is just the beginning of a beautifully crafted adventure. Quite simply the most un-put-downable novel I have ever read. Romance, history, science-fiction, mystery, action.You name it and this series has it.
